Viper Shot King – The “Cheaper” Option
The Blade 6 is currently the best dartboard on the market, but if it is outside of the budget for your office there are alternatives. We are going to recommend the Shot King.
GLD has a long history of making quality products and their Viper line is always a pleaser. This set comes with everything you need to get started, including 2 sets of darts and a throw line.
While there are cheaper boards out there, they are usually made of lesser quality materials such as paper or cork. It is important to note that with the Viper Shot King you are getting a full sisal board meaning it will have some longevity to it.
We still recommend the Blade 6 if you are serious about darts in your office, but if that is just not possible it’s nice to know you have options.

If you are lucky enough to work alongside some genuine dart fans and your HR department prohibits the use of sharp steel-tipped darts, the Fat Cat Electronx Electronic Dartboard is for you.
Electronic boards use plastic soft-tipped darts eliminating any dangers from bounce-outs or a bad player throw.
This board is one of the highest quality electronic boards on the market. Every aspect of the board exudes craftsmanship. Additionally, this machine offers a huge amount of convenience and practicality due to the over 40 included pre-programmed games.

The board is very durable, and the neodymium magnetic dart tips are very strong. The plastic flights are nigh indestructible, and the darts are well balanced for accurate play.

Considerations For Setting Up A Dartboard In The Office
There is nothing better than having a practice dartboard in the office. but to ensure the safety of your friend and coworkers, you should probably do some planning ahead of time. We have a list of things to consider before you get set up.
Make Sure You Have The Space
The throwline for a dartboard should be 7’ 9 ¼” from the front of the board (8’ for soft tip), but that’s not all. You are going to want to make sure you have a few additional feet on all sides to make sure players have a comfortable place to stand, throw, and just move around.
Location
You need more than just the space. You should make sure the space is in a location that is away from the busy bustle of the office. Setting up the dartboard in its own room with a closed door would be preferred. If that is not possible at least try to isolate it to a small corner where through traffic will be minimal.
Protect The Wall
Even the best players miss. If you are playing with steel tip darts this may leave holes in your wall. You can protect your wall with a dartboard surround. I personally like the popular Winmau surround, but if that does not offer enough protection to catch your stray darts, you can go with this Viper that covers a greater portion of the wall under your dartboard.
Keeping Score
Of course, you can mark your scores down with a pen and piece of paper, but if you have the space you should pick up a scoreboard. You can go with a traditional chalkboard or if you want to be fancy, an electronic darts scorer.
A Pop-Up Board
There are many reasons that you may not be able to hang a dartboard on the walls of your office. For that situation, you could always try a dartboard stand. A good stand will be quick and easy to set up and you can easily pop it into a closet so it is out of the way when not in use.
